It contains a single sponge pad which effectively removes particles from the water whilst also providing a great place for beneficial bacteria to form.

The simple design of this filter makes maintenance very easy. Just remove the filter from the aquarium, remove the sponge pad and squeeze it in a bucket of tank water to remove the waste.
